Laura – Founder of Lifting the Mood
Coming from Venezuela—a country shaped by political turmoil—meant moving countries in search of stability. With so much outside my control, I focused on what I could control—how I treated my body.
At 26, I discovered strength training. With each heavier lift I built my confidence. Soon it became less about the physical and more about breaking barriers and reclaiming control. But when I encouraged friends to lift, I saw hesitation. I wanted to change that.
Searching for adjustable dumbbells during Covid, the idea struck: What if I created weights that were inviting and designed for women? Beautiful. Functional. & Empowering.
That’s how the LTM Adjustable Dumbbells and Lifting The Mood was born—to help women lift, grow, and lift each other up.
Women lose up to 20% of muscle mass by age 70 — but strength training can reverse this trend.
Weight down 5 lbs.
Sleep … deep and waking early
Energy .. crazy good … added 3 extra workout days!
Mood … elevated
Concentration … much improved
Hunger swings GONE … concentrating on 80-100g protein/day … NO sweet cravings
Water … 80-100 oz day (lemon water warmed to start the day!)
Alcohol … NONE … found a fun drink “For Bittter or Worse”
Wow! Just had to let you know what’s going on and to say THANK YOU!
I’ve definitely noticed my skin looking plumber, (my daughter agrees), and as I don’t carry extra weight, some days were scarier than others. Deep lines with darker circles under my eyes were rather annoying and something I thought invasive solutions were my only option. This took a positive direction around day 3. Yay!!
Being more regular is a positive and more energy especially in the afternoon.
I’m having less black tea too… I was a huge consumer! Knowing I’d have to replace that cup with another water kind of put me off.
Still loving 1 extra hot flat white coffee after my lemon water though. Sticking to 1.
Toilet stops at night, even with 7pm cutoff are still a bit annoying.
As I’m here in New Orleans from Australia, it could be a bit of protracted jet lag ?!
Anyhow …terrific results!!
